Aging in place
Keeping seniors in their homes, or "aging in place," involves providing support and resources to seniors to live independently in their own homes for as long as possible. This can include home modifications and assistance with various tasks, and CatTongue Grips can help.
By adding extra grip to everyday objects, seniors can feel safer and more independent in their lives. Add CatTongue Grips to:
- Handrails and grab bars
- Walkers and wheelchairs
- Stairs and walkways
- Small object, such as jars, bottles, remotes, cell phones or anything that could easily slip.
CatTongue Grips recently won the DSN Buyers Choice Award for our products that can help create a safer home environment.

CatTongue Grips Gription Rolls come in multiple widths and can be used to make any senior's living space safer.
Use our standard 2-inch rolls anywhere in the home where you want extra safety and security. The material can be easily cut and shaped using scissors.
And for extra peace of mind, we offer glow rolls to make objects more visible at night.
Wrap Grip comes in 1-inch rolls and is the ideal product to add grip to handrails, walkers, canes, grab bars, or anywhere a tighter grip will help keep your senior safe.
These narrower rolls offer the same level of comfort and safety as wider Gription Rolls, and are better suited for wrapping smaller diameter items around the house. The narrower diameter helps ensure the edges stay firmly in place even when wrapping more tightly.
Our non-adhesive Gription Pad is the perfect way to keep objects from sliding around. Use these pads under a cutting board to prevent accidents in the kitchen. Or place them on a table to stop keys and phones from sliding onto the floor where the may be difficult to retrieve.
Gription pads are easy to reposition (they don't have adhesive on them) and can help keep objects in place on all kinds of surfaces.

Millions of Americans face reduced mobility due to age, injury, or chronic conditions. These individuals often rely on devices like walkers, canes, or wheelchairs—yet these tools themselves can become hazardous if not gripped securely. Falls are the leading cause of injury-related hospital visits in adults over 65, with billions spent annually on treatment and rehabilitation.
CatTongue Grips’ proprietary Gription® technology offers a non-abrasive, high-traction surface that enhances grip and stability. This innovative technology has significant implications for therapeutic and medical mobility, especially in fall prevention, assistive devices, and rehabilitation settings.

“ I have numbness in my feet. I wear socks without shoes in the house and I would slide. My neurologist suggested the tape. I purchased and am so pleased totally satisfied. I cut about a 3 inch stip put on the bottom of my socks and perfect grip. I have washed and dried them several times and the same strip still stuck to socks and grip still perfect. ”

Best Grip Tape for Hanicap Handrails at a Great Price!
“
I used this tape on my toielt hand rail to help me from falling. I had had a different grip strip before, but it didn't last long and so I decided to try this. I am so glad I did!
So far, it is sticking so well, isn't affected by moisture and has the best grip l've ever had. I did pay about $5 more for this tape compared to my last grip tapes and it may seem like the cost is high, but it ends up being a great deal and is cheaper in the long run. This is because of how much you get, how many railings it could cover, and how well it has stuck so far makes me think this will last a lot longer.
It is easy to use - just cut off a strip that will work (and you can wrap it to test the amount before cutting), than slowly peel off the back to place the tape down.
The backing ensures you don't get tangled while applying which is great.
I definitely recommend this product!

Enhanced Safety
“
We have a Tyvek deck with rails. When wet from rain or frost/ freeze handrails on the stairs are slippery. As we are both in our late 70's fall prevention makes sense. Placed the Grip Strips on both the flat railing and round railing on stairs to enhance grip and prevent slipping.
Easy to apply too!

Very, very helpful
“
First: I am handicapped from a truck running over me as I drove to work in 2018.
Three years ago, a very good friend of mine put up grab bars in the shower for me to hold onto to prevent falls. Six months ago, I asked him how to make them less slippery from the water of the shower. He suggested these.
I have been using them since October, 2024.
These work very well in preventing me from falling and in maintaining my stability
